The two Windeler reeds I bought because they are somewhat higher in pitch, were not at all alike. One was much harder, in the other one I spotted weak D and E in the middle register. After playing them in, this improved somewhat. But nothing like the handiness of KGE and Academy reeds, for example.
Always used Windeler as my go to reliable, consistent Reed. Having not used them for while I came back to them and ordered 4 all super excited, but unfortunately they did not live up to my expectations - either something has changed with them or me - I can’t find one that I like -!!! I’ll put it down to covid as that’s what we are blaming everything on this year :weary::weary:
I really liked the tone of this reed however it still made my playing quite sharp.
Good but professional read produces for me a sweeter tone
Responsive from the start.
very prompt and polite - reeds satisfactory
This plays high notes beautifully, and perfectly in tune. I had some difficulty though with middle C, and the B & A below it.
Pretty good all-rounder reeds, but they required a little cajoling to play the way I like.
The great thing about reeds is they can be altered to suit the player, we are pleased you have some reeds that after a little 'cajoling' suit you. Happy reed happy player! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.

First purchase from you and it's the best reed I've had in ages!
There's no better feeling than a fab reed! Thanks for getting in touch to let us know. Happy bassooning!

Very pleased as both reeds worked straight away, good sound. Good recommendation for a mediocre bassoonist such as myself!
