Perfect for amateur to advanced bassoonists

The Windeler bassoon reed BD3 is designed for amateur to advanced players and suits 2nd Bassoon or low bassoon parts. It is designed to be able to play very quietly when playing low on the bassoon, which can often be very hard work if the reed you are using isn't suited to playing low and quiet passages.

Warm and Responsive

It has a warm and rounded 'Germanic' sound which is very full bodied. The Windeler bassoon reed is responsive making it fairly easy to play. The reed is of a medium strength.

Long lasting German Windeler quality

Windeler bassoon reeds are made in Germany by one of Windelers past pupils. The cane and raw materials are handpicked to ensure every reed is of the highest quality.

A nice reed. I'm assured it's a Windeler BD3 but it's black whereas the image on the website is red. Very confused.
